Image Too Large for Upload Fix
When an upload fails because an image is too large, the problem is usually file size, dimensions, or both. The quickest fix is to reduce the image before trying again.
Quick answer
To fix an image that is too large for upload, open the Compress Image tool, upload the file, create a smaller version, and try the upload again. If it still fails, reduce the dimensions with Resize Image. The work runs locally in your browser, and Confiles does not upload or store your file.
Recommended tool
The quickest way to do this task on this site is to use Compress Image.
Open Compress ImageSteps
- 1.Open the Compress Image tool.
- 2.Upload the image that failed to upload.
- 3.Download the smaller result and try the upload again.
- 4.Use Resize Image too if the upload still rejects the file.
FAQ
Should I compress or resize first?
Compression is usually the fastest first step. Resize the image if the file is still too large after that.
Why does the upload still fail after compression?
Some sites also enforce image dimensions, not just file size. Resizing can fix that second limit.
